Valley Rescue Mission is collecting fans to distribute to those in need of relief from the summer heat.
Every summer, many people face serious risks of heat stroke and even death due to lack of ability to afford air conditioning. With the temperature on the rise, requests have been pouring in from elderly and needy individuals asking Valley Rescue Mission for fans to cool their homes.
The fans will be distributed first to the elderly, then to those with medical conditions, parents with small children and then, as they are available, to others in need.
